It is interesting to know that from 78 members in December 2007, RBR members have increased to 130 as of June 30,2008 (licensed brokers and sales associates). This robust 67% growth in membership in the last six months is the outcome of team work and innovation of this term's board.

Membership is the lifeblood of an organization hence every effort must be geared towards their benefit and satisfaction. Early this year, Rizal Board of REALTORS® (RBR) sets it sight in recruiting new members and holding on to existing members by keeping them happy and involved.
Good public image, track record, quality members and superb website - these are some of the reasons why they chose to join RBR. Credit is also due to the skills and extra efforts collectively put in by the members of the Board.

You may not have noticed this, but as licensed real estate brokers, the government do not see you as a "professional" just as yet. Lets face it, our Department of Trade and Industry(DTI) license may not be as mighty as the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) license. To correct this and be finally recognized as a "professional", the DTI is now conducting all real estate brokers', appraisers', and consultants' examinations the same way as the PRC is conducting tests for would be professionals. This is a result of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the DTI and the PRC, in preparation for the eventual transfer of jurisdiction to the PRC.

JULY highlights the season of festivities and fun for RIZAL BOARD OF REALTORS®, INC .. Traditionally, it celebrates its anniversary month (which actually falls in June) but due to some very tight schedule of activities for RBR and its members, the Officers & Directors decided to hold it in July.
Of course, July is my birth month too! And did you know that being the seventh month of the year, it is very memorable too in God's appointed feasts. And I quote these verses which I borrowed from Leviticus 25 (well, seventh year or seventh month bears the same connotations after all) ... The Lord said to Moses on Mount Sinai, "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: "When you enter the land I am going to give you, the Land itself must observe a Sabbath to the Lord. For six years, sow your fields and for six years, prune your vineyards and gather their crops. But in the seventh year, the land is to have a Sabbath rest, a Sabbath to the Lord. Do not sow your fields or prune your vineyards.Do not reap what grows of itself, or harvest the grapes of your untended vines. The Land is to have a year of rest ... "The Bible is true and it is an agricultural fact that farmlands remained untilled for a month yield better crops and produce or the next seasons of harvest.

Going global should be the driving force of businesses today. It is a must for businesses to think out of the box and consider the vast overseas market. The term "global" is overwhelming for start-up and even established companies. There is that constant fear of not finding the right customers and registering zero sales. While there are risks, success in the global market can result in more profit for any business. Bill Dunlop, chief executive officer of Global Reach, stresses that businesses that do not go global are missing out a lot of opportunities.
A firm believer in global business, I created the G.L.O.B.A.L. acronym. Read on.
